The last time I saw the bleached headed young man was on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at about 5:30p.m. he was going from west to east. I didn't see him come back though, because we had to pick up my stepson from the airport that evening and we didn't return until 7:30 or so. It is because of that event of making a trip to town that evening that I remember when I saw the bleached headed young man.
The week of the 12th, it was a hot one and my wife and I spent the afternoons in the comforts of our bedroom where it's air-conditioned. We both work on laptops so we could move our "office" in there. That is why I didn't see the usual activities and haven't had anything to report.
Fast forward to today, July 18, 2010, Sunday. We did our usual routine on Sunday morning. my wife, my stepson and I left home at around 8am to go to church. A friend of ours spent the night, and was planning to attend church with us. He wasn't feeling well this morning though and decided to stay back at our house while the three os us went. We got back home a little after 11am only to find out that that friend of ours witnessed someone trespassing in our back patio. Our friend was in the middle bedroom and saw from the corner of his eye that there was someone standing right outside the bedroom window so he called out "hey what are you doing!" and the trespasser ran off. He told us it was a little after 9am. i immediately called the police station's non-emergency number. It was 11:36am.
About a half-hour later, Officer Hatada and Officer Arnold arrived. They took down our report, and mine and my friend's names as well as a description as best he could from what he saw. He said a dirty blonde hair color, short hair length, mid 20's age, maybe 5'4" height, and wearing a white shirt. I called my other neighbor who I am close with (directly SW of me) to let him know and find out if he knew any names I could report. Anyways, we were notified that we had the option of either filing a formal complaint which would most likely lead to a court case, or asking if the officers would warn the neighbors to stay out (assuming it's someone from that house, which is highly likely) and this would all go on record so in the event that something like this would happen again we could add to the police report, which would lead to a stronger case for us to hold up in court. The Officers were aware that there are several families residing at the residence next door.
Officer Hatada jotted down his report number for me: M10033608
