It's been quiet.... and wierd

ENTRY 15

Ever since we had someone jump over our fence and snoop around in our patio, and the police came, there hasn't been any trespassing to report. The police said they would have a talk with the neighbors, and, perhaps that talk did a good thing. Perhaps the home owner(s) kicked the problematic person or persons, or perhaps they are deterred from bringing any more attention to themselves. Whatever it is, it has been quiet since then. There has even been less noisy cars burning out, blasting the stereo, and partying.

Today however there was a rather strange occurrence. A black Ford mustang with the license plate "TABBY" (we think if my wife saw correctly) stopped on the street just outside our house. The engine was idling, and the car stayed for about 3 to 5 minutes before it drove off down (makai) the road. The car had a lady driver, and while it stayed parked there with the motor running, she got out and tokk a package or small bundle and placed it in the bushes. she got back in the car for a minute or two, then got out and retrieved the package and returned to the car. Abiut a minute or so later the car drove off.

Trespassing In my Lot & report

ENTRY 14

The last time I saw the bleached headed young man was on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at about 5:30p.m. he was going from west to east. I didn't see him come back though, because we had to pick up my stepson from the airport that evening and we didn't return until 7:30 or so. It is because of that event of making a trip to town that evening that I remember when I saw the bleached headed young man.

The week of the 12th, it was a hot one and my wife and I spent the afternoons in the comforts of our bedroom where it's air-conditioned. We both work on laptops so we could move our "office" in there. That is why I didn't see the usual activities and haven't had anything to report.

Fast forward to today, July 18, 2010, Sunday. We did our usual routine on Sunday morning. my wife, my stepson and I left home at around 8am to go to church. A friend of ours spent the night, and was planning to attend church with us. He wasn't feeling well this morning though and decided to stay back at our house while the three os us went. We got back home a little after 11am only to find out that that friend of ours witnessed someone trespassing in our back patio. Our friend was in the middle bedroom and saw from the corner of his eye that there was someone standing right outside the bedroom window so he called out "hey what are you doing!" and the trespasser ran off. He told us it was a little after 9am. i immediately called the police station's non-emergency number. It was 11:36am.

About a half-hour later, Officer Hatada and Officer Arnold arrived. They took down our report, and mine and my friend's names as well as a description as best he could from what he saw. He said a dirty blonde hair color, short hair length, mid 20's age, maybe 5'4" height, and wearing a white shirt. I called my other neighbor who I am close with (directly SW of me) to let him know and find out if he knew any names I could report. Anyways, we were notified that we had the option of either filing a formal complaint which would most likely lead to a court case, or asking if the officers would warn the neighbors to stay out (assuming it's someone from that house, which is highly likely) and this would all go on record so in the event that something like this would happen again we could add to the police report, which would lead to a stronger case for us to hold up in court. The Officers were aware that there are several families residing at the residence next door.

Officer Hatada jotted down his report number for me: M10033608

Continuation, and etc...

ENTRY 13

The time is 7:15 pm and although I didn't see what time the bleached headed young man go over toward the east, I am seeing him go back through the neighbor's property westward.

At 12:38 pm when the sun came out, the weed-eating stopped.

At 1:32 pm today there was a burn out display next door. A primer grey color Nissan pickup (Hardbody, late 80' model), a truck which we see next door all the time t the unruly neighbor's house, spent a good minute (and a lot of tire rubber) burning out as if it were the starting line of the quarter-mile racetrack. The truck was going down Puni Mauka North headed in the makai direction.

Weed-eating in the rain

ENTRY 12

At 11:30 am on 7/10/10, Saturday, the bleached headed young man started up a weed-eater and is cutting grass. There was even a downpour of rain for about ten minutes or so, but the motor of the yard tool kept on going. My wife went out there to see what he was doing, which is how we know it is indeed the bleach headed young man. 45 minutes or more later as I write this, he doesn't appear to have moved, but instead stays in one small area.

Time will tell how long this will keep up.

....wait a minute, as I write, I hear the noise stop! It's now 12:16pm. ...oh but wait I hear hima starting it up again at 12:17. I'll write my next entry when this racket stops.

I witnessed something like this before some years ago. A friend of mine was over at my house weed-eating a small spot in my yard about 6ft x 6ft area. He was going at it in that spot for hours saying he was making a putting green. I later confirmed from him that he was high on meth or "ice" at the time. He's now sobe, and could verify this story.

Walk-through Activities

ENTRY 11

It's 7:38 am and Saturday, 7/10/10, and the bleached headed young man walked through the same (NE) lot going east only to return two minutes later...... very early today, and I know this won't be my only entry.

Yesterday, at 5:27pm, we were getting ready to leave for Hilo and I saw the bleached headed young man making his way through, doing the usual. We left a few minutes after that so I couldn't witness him coming back.

Today, at 12:53PM the bleached headed young man was going eastward and passing though the lot NE of me, but I did not notice him come back.

The "bleached headed young man"

ENTRY 5

The bleached headed young man, is who we see mostly around the neighborhood, frequently passing through our Northeasterly neighbor's lot. He'll pass through there at least once a day, usually in the afternoons, but sometimes in the mid day, and only for about five minutes at a a time.

On one occasion so far, the bleached headed young man approached my son and asked my him if he'd like to buy "weed". This occurred on the (Puni Mauka) street just outside my house.

I've learned from my neighbor Southwest of me (whose son is a police officer) that the bleached headed young man was arrested and maybe even served time for car theft. This is just hearsay, but by my own profiling of the bleached headed young man, I wouldn't doubt it.

Parading

ENTRY 4

One of the things that is prompting us to take notes on our unruly neighbors, is the fact that they use my neighbor's property as a passageway to a house on Kahakai Blvd. About 2 or 3 months ago, I noticed a young man traveling through my neighbor's lot directly South West of my property. My neighbor that resides there, tolerated it for some time, but when there were more and more people starting to do the same thing and cut through his property, he asked them to stop doing it. They didn't listen until being told a number of times, I learned later from a conversation we had about the situation. They then started to walk on the opposite side of my property, directly Nort East of my lot. The homeowners were renting the house out at the time, and the tenants didn't seem to object. When they first started doing this, they would pass over my driveway to get back to their house. If it weren't for the fence around most of my lot, I suspect they would have no problem trespassing right through my property as well. About a month later, the tenants in the house NE from me moved out, leaving the house vacant. (I should mention that the unruly neighbor's house is NW of me). Because the house has no one living in it now, and I am friends with the owners, I politely asked a small group of people walking through not to do so. This took place approximately three weeks ago, in early-to-mid June, when I approached the young man with bleached hair, and another adult Caucasian male, and three young children, ages between 4-6 years of age. I asked them if they knew the owner of the house, and the bleached haired man said "yeah, Pomai" but I said "No", and asked them not to trespass and that I was watching the house for the owners.

The descriptions:
Mainly I see the young man doing this activity. This young man, whom I'll always refer to in my entries as the 'bleached headed young man', is who I see mostly around the neighborhood. I have yet to get his name, but when I do I'll post it here on this site. I'd guess his height to be about 5' 3", and his weight to be about 130lbs. I'd say he looks to be in his early to mid 20's.
The other man with him that day was about 5' 11". 175lbs and in his early 30's. That man drove a Ford pickup, F150 or F250, early 90's model. Maroon color. I will try and get license plates too and post them on this site.

Why We Want a Safe Neighborhood

ENTRY 3

North Puni Mauka Loop in Hawaiian Beaches, in the city of Pahoa is where this all takes place.

In this blog entry I will explain why this web log is necessary.

From what I understand, according to "Safe Streets Now", (which can be found via the link in the post previous to this one, Entry 2), a detailed journal should be kept of any suspicious activities noticed in the neighborhood. This will enable concerned parties, such as myself and my family who resides here with me to take action against any such activities. In this case, the activities we are suspicios of are illegal drug distribution, car theft and car "chopping" (which is slang for the taking apart of stolen vehicles to make it hard to trace).

In this web log we will be making detailed entries of times when any odd behavior is being performed, pictures and/or video & audio of anything incriminating, and anything else related to the topic of the unruly neighbors.

A little info on the neighbors:
The house is located on the corner of Awa Street and North Puni Mauka Loop, directly across the (N Puni Mauka) Street from us. At any given time there is about 6-8 or more vehicles parked outside the house. There seems to be a great number of people living in the residence, even though it appears to be only a 3 or 4 bedroom house. There are many young children, and the young kids' parents ages look to be in their mid-20's. I believe the parent(s) of those (mid-20's) adults also reside at the house also. I do not know the address, but I will find out in the near future, and post it here on this site. There is an almost constant noise pollution coming from the house, mostly loud speakers with deep bass, and domestic fights with screaming, yelling and banging sounds on occasion. By on occasion, the fights occur once or twice a month.

This site can be navigated bytags, and the ones created so far are "purpose", "history", and "july". I'll post entries and tag them with the month in which the instances occur.

Safe Streets Now

ENTRY 2

This link below is information on how to deal with unruly neighbors.

basically, recording the unruly neighbor's activity in detail, and collecting enough evidence of bad and even illegal behavior justifies a law suit, and pressing charges. We as concerned neighbors can ask for an eviction of the unruly tenants, with a threat of a civil suit, punishable by an arrest for not obeying the request.

This is the sole purpose of this blog.

Afternoon Activity

ENTRY 1

It is the usual walk through my neighbor's yard apparently to the house on the lot directly behind mine.

They headed over at 5:12 PM and was walking past again at 5: 19 PM. Today's date is July 2, 2010.

There was the young man with the short bleached hair, and 4 small children. Approximate ages between 4-6 years of age.
